Local author Lisa Braithwaite will visit the Ojai Library at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, to share her best tips from her book Presenting for Humans: Insights for Speakers on Ditching Perfection and Creating Connection.
Braithwaite’s philosophy is that public speaking is a fun, awesome way to express yourself creatively, and that connection and engagement are worth more than a thousand techniques. In her book you will find a new perspective on how to be a better and more human speaker.
Braithwaite is a public speaking coach, trainer, and author, mentoring entrepreneurs and professionals to create memorable and engaging presentations in order to build their businesses through speaking. She has a B.A. in Theater and an M.A. in Education, and has been interviewed for the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and more.
Braithwaite also supports the Ojai Valley Library Friends & Foundation, and the first ten guests to bring a book to this event to donate to Twice-Sold Tales will receive a free gift!
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP via Eventbrite by going to https://goo.gl/7TrUV5.
The Ojai Library is located at 111 East Ojai Avenue in Ojai, CA. Hours of service are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
