This beautiful folk drama of the Nativity is based on the rhythms and traditions of Hispanic America. Ariel Ramirez was an Argentine composer who was considered a chief supporter of Argentine folk music.
This concert is free to the public. It is our gift to Santa Barbara in response to all that the community has endured in the past year with fires and mudslides and the resultant damage. It will be performed at the Lobero Theater, 33 East Canon Perdido, Santa Barbara.
Tickets are being distributed throughout the community. They will be available from chorus members, at sbmasterchorale.org, and at the Lobero Theatre box office: hours 10–5 M-F and 12-5 on Saturday.
Funding support was provided by the City of Santa Barbara’s Community Arts Grant Program. For more information, call 805-682-6516, or visit http://www.sbmasterchorale.org.
