The Fund for Santa Barbara Community Dinner & Auction at QAD was the place to be
this weekend. Once again some of Santa Barbara's best restaurant chefs and
caterers served delicious dinner bites that were paired nicely with great local
wines to donors, sponsors and guests.
Dinner guests enjoyed some sensational tastes from Arlington Tavern, Del Pueblo
Café, Museum Café, Marmalade Café, Omni Fresco Catering, Opal Restaurant & Bar,
The Palace Grill, Soho, Via Maestra 42 Catering, and World Cuisine. Vintners
pouring included Kalyra, Jalama, Flying Goat Cellars, Palmina, Piedra Sassi and
Stolpman Vineyard. Telegraph Brewing offered their fine brews, and Caribbean
Coffee Company was a great compliment to desserts by Jessica Foster Confections,
Samantha's Sweet Things, Robin Himovitz cookies and assorted berries by The
Berry Man.
Operations Manager Gary Clark greeted guests at the door, Executive Director
Geoff Green welcomed the huge dinner crowd from the podium, and Hannah-Beth
Jackson ran another successful auction to raise funds for the organization.
Generous business owners and individuals donated gifts for the silent auction
and live auction, and an army of wonderful volunteers kept everything running
smoothly. Grants of $322,540 have been awarded as of September 15th, 2012 by The
Fund For Santa Barbara. For additional information or to make a donation visit:
