September 16, 2012 - Endless Summer
It was the last week of summer in Santa Barbara last week. Next week includes the beginning of fall, which consequentially occurs at the end of each summer. Did you get all your summer plans completed? Were there enough days at the beach, and enough barbecues? Did your tan reached its ultimate bronze? Did you enjoy enough lazy days reading books in a hammock?
In Santa Barbara, we have such high summertime standards to live to, success can be hard to reach, or beach, as the case may be. Hey, at least we have Fiesta. Did you have a churro this year? You get a lot of points for that, you know.
But fall is super nice, too. And it affords a full three months of days in which we can make up for any lost summering that might have occurred. Actually, Ed prefers fall because of the sunsets. What is your favorite season?
Well, Sundays are awfully good, and today is no exception. We have a bunch to read before you get out and enjoy the day! The Dog of the Week is Beau, with jaws of steel; the Cats of the Week are Abby and Lucy, two talkative kitties. Kelsey Abkin, our Teen Voice discusses injuries in high school sports; David Powdrell shares a fun day at the beach, and Edda gives a confused lover some kind advice.
