Early SB Photo

There was an interesting story on NPR this morning. It concerned the archive of photographs taken by a man who was an early proponent of kodachrome color photos (slides), beginning in 1938.

His slides are all available online and with a little searching, I found a number of Santa Barbara. Below is a link to an example, taken from TV hill or thereabouts, on April 20, 1956.

You may browse the website by dates, subjects, etc. It's a wonderful slice of thirty years or so of history from around the world, with quite a lot from California.
