Does anybody know somewhere in Santa Barbara/Goleta where I can have an extra hole professionally
punched in my leather belt?

@ 845. How often does one need a hole puncher? I think I have used mine three times in 30 years. I would offer to do it for the OP for free, but last time I offered (on Edhat) use of something (and gave my phone number, too)---also for free----the OP completely ignored me. I guess people are a lot less trusting than I. That said, "Art," if you're reading this . . .I want to take you up on your free offer, and have you graft my avocado tree! Reply on this thread. Thank you.

wow half of you have way to much time to reply negatively to this. i was gifted a handful of Louis Vuitton belts that are a size to big and the local LV store wont let me return them. Notice how i said PROFESSIONALLY done? As in I am more than well aware i can do this on my own but because these belts are worth more than most of you people's rents I wanted it done well.

After years of having to stop into a Birkenstocks store just to get a hole punched in the strap, I finally bought a leather punch. It was a fine investment, and I don't remember it costing much. You can punch different sized holes, and I've used it to punch OTHER items as well. Try OSH or Home Depot - I would just call and ask if they carry a Leather Punch, rather than run out and waste gas. THEN, if unable to find one in a local store, I'd just search online: Leather Punch. Good luck to you.

How'd you lose the weight? I'm needing to drop 10lbs. myself. By the way, great job! As for the belt, I'd go with the drill!

900 - go to any really good shoe repair shop. I use Jessie's in Goleta near the bowling alley - Zodos on Calle Real near Fairview. They can not only punch the holes, but can shorten the belt if need be and make the edges match.

Is this because you lost weight or gained weight? If lost, congrats. If gained.... lose it! Letting out pants and belts is the beginning of the road to ruin!
