Multiple Hit and Run

Numerous Vehicles in downtown area...Struck by a "Hit and Run" Driver cruising around in a Penske Rental
Truck. SBPD Seeking the truck and driver of the vehicle with a possible licence plate of: Indiana, 2096882.
It is being driven by a male driver if you see the vehicle drop a dime on them.

The suspect is in custody..Police now know where the truck is. A school bus might also have been involved with no injuries..Suspect is on probation for 23152 although it's unknown if he was under the infulence during his little drive this morning.

He also was driving on a suspended licence. Driver has admitted to hitting school bus with students inside. CHP on scene of that accident at Cota and Santa Barbara streets 100 Block of East Cota. As far as I know no one was injured in that crash.

There was acouple other locations mentioned possibly where other victim vehicles were struck, Guiterrez at Sapsitudes was one. Roger over and Out.

Cops just stopped at out warehouse inquiring about our Penske truck...now I know why

And they noticed all the trucks have Indiana plates...They just found the truck behind the Spearmint Rhino in the parking lot. One officer asked if the keys were in the truck I haven't heard a yes or no on that yet..

No keys in the vehicle and it's being towed into custody..So now we know the mad man behind the wheel is in custody one less problem on Santa Barbaras streets. Not sure how bad the damage is but it doesn't sound like anyone was hurt and that is a good thing. Roger over and out..

Wonder what he was using the truck for? Residential robbery? Mobile meth lab? Contraband transport? I'm thinking he was trucking another shark to Padero Beach. :-)
