Geology Rocks!

These hollow rocks, orange inside, some with a honeycomb texture, adorn a local hillside I flew past near the Alma Rosa Winery just before sunset. I wonder why they're such a different color inside, and how long they've looked this way. Flying or hiking our hills could get most anyone interested in geology.
