Scanner Reports 9-7-12
updated: Sep 07, 2012, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Anutter FRYday. Someone wonders if there is a Homeless camp behind Fairview Center? That is what I heard the other night when someone was calling in a 261pc Rape call. A woman was reported to be yelling that she was being raped behind the Break Time..SBSO responded code 3 several units were responding when they arrived on scene the attack was reported to have occured in the Homeless camp in the back. SBSO requested code 2 medics for a facial laceration I never heard anymore about a rape occuring there and it's possible it did not happen at all, maybe it was something else all together.

Then the next day there is the robbery box cutter slashing in the same general area. It amazes me that there are so many homeless people camped out in Santa Barbara and Goleta what amazes me more are citizens being attacked by the homeless. Last week there was a report of a 415 Fight between Women at State and Yanolli near the Amtrak Station. Turned out those women were attacked by a transient with a skateboard demanding money, or at least one victim who wrote into Edhat claimed that is what happened. I heard two seprate calls last week involving angry transients yelling and cursing passerbys in both instances the transients were pointing their fingers at people like they were aiming a gun at them and firing..This kind of behavior can only bring negative actions on both sides of this issue. I haven't hung out in Goleta or even driven thru in quite some time but I have heard that there are many homeless camps in the Goleta area. TurnPike/Hollister Area, Along the Bicycle Paths, Near Patterson and Hollister, now behind the Fairview center..It sounds to me like there is a Houseless Community within a Housed Community and it's growing. I wonder if there will ever be a solution to this crisis, it isn't just here. This is going on all over our country and beyond. What will it be like when the soldiers come home? How many of them will be homeless? What is to become of our society? Our Country is totally split with hostility on both sides of the fence Were all ready to kick each others ASH!

I have always been at odds with my family involving one thing or an otter. When I first moved out here I was kind of a Redneck republican and they were all liberals now it's the otter way around I'm the liberal, they are all republicans. One of my uncles told me I wasn't very Bright. In the middle of giving him a piece of my mind I realized he was born before me and thus must be less Bright. It's kinda funny when you stop to think about it. Especally when one considers that we teach our children to be nice to others, meanwhile we are at each otters throats.. Maybe once a year everyone in the whole wide world ought to meet at our seprate community civic centers and throw cream pies in each otters faces, it might help.
