People v. Brian Keith Reid

District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that charges have been filed against 40-year old Orcutt resident Brian Keith Reid arising from the shooting death of his father, William Reid, age 73, at Orcutt Community Park on September 3, 2012. The complaint alleges one count of First Degree Murder with the personal use of a firearm, as well as one count of Attempted First Degree Murder of Pamela Reid, 66, with the personal use of a firearm and infliction of great bodily injury.

Arraignment is scheduled for September 5, 2012, in Santa Maria Superior Court, Dept. 9.

Allegations of molestation come up in Orcutt Labor Day shootings. (09/07/12)
