Lake and Slough

I went to Lake Los Carneros to photograph the clouds on Labor day and stumbled upon this idyllic
scene....a father and his daughters, fishing in the lake....a sweet summertime ritual that I shared with my
Dad growing up.
Next, I headed to Goleta Slough and found the white swans that I believe once lived at LLC, well, if not, it's
another pair of swans. This bird of prey was very far away, so the picture is cropped down and thus a bit
pixelated....still a gorgeous creature. The Pelicans and Cormorants were fishing and fighting for space on
any little outcropping they could find....so fun to watch. Aren't we lucky to live in such a beautiful place?
