Good Friends

I'm a very lucky guy. I've got amazing friends.
Here's the abbreviated recap of our story: 5 years ago, we drove to the Oregon
border to kayak the final miles of a 13-year long tradition of kayak camping
various sections of the California coast. Due to a health hiccup, I couldn't
finish that leg but my compadres, Johnny "Lonewolf" Beardsmore and Mark Levy
finished the entire 1,109 miles. Phil Morreale and Derek Levy joined that leg
of the adventure.
For 5 years, I'd been visualizing my completion of the last leg. When I sent an
email to the fellas to see if anyone might be interested in paddling from Point
St. George to Humboldt Bay again, among the more dangerous sections of the
California coast, they all gave a resounding thumbs up.
Good friends are worth their weight in gold. I'll never be able to repay them
for helping me finish the adventure of my lifetime.
