Unidentified Bird

I am hoping that edhatters can help me to identify this bird that I photographed this morning in my back yard on El Sueno Rd. It has been frequenting my feeder for over a year. I have shared this with my other birder friends and we all agree it is a thrasher, (same size, shape and behavior of the California Thrasher) but none of us have ever seen or heard of one with these marking on its face and head.
