...and this afternoon I noticed a neon green sign at Ledbetter beach parking lot that says "Charge on entry $3.00". What happened to the 15 minute grace period they used to offer?

I went there recently to eat at the Shoreline Cafe and had to pay $3 on entry at 5:30 pm; the gate was up when I left. No "grace period" was offered.

"No Event"? How about the start of the SBCC school year? I would hazard a guess that it costs too much to monitor the "state of grace" of users who take advantage of these little niceties until they feel entitled to them.

This was Thursday around 4PM that I saw the sign, so it wasn't for Nite Moves. There was no other special event, either. Weird.

They allowed a free 15 minute drop off time this summer when my daughter was going to camp. They were very nice about it.

That's "Charge on Entry" for a special event, in this case "Nite Moves" to allow for unrestricted flow out at end-of-event. I believe yesterday's was the last of the season.
