Animal Abuse Hotline?

A friend of mine witnessed serious animal abuse at a Carpinteria beach
and would like to know where to report it. Police officers have already been
notified, but is there an animal abuse hotline in town?

No, not that I, a wildlife rescuer, am aware of, assuming you mean domestic animal, such as dog, cat, etc. You did the right thing to call the police (the SBSO?) Always a good idea to get photos. (If a wild animal, then the Fish & Game.)

In Carpenteria and SB City, they have their own animal control officers that are contacted through calling the police, either 911 or the non emergency number. County Animal Control can be contacted through the sheriff's numbers.

I hope your friend really DOES something about this! Horrible! Just horrible, those who would harm the little helpless ones who only look up to and depend on us.

It is a crime. Take a photo if you can and call the police.
