Just try wordpress.com It is really simple to use, and will do what you want. If you have some computer skills you will be able to use it. Have fun with it!

I second the Wordpress recommendation. Everything's already in place there, and it's pretty easy to use once you get a feel for it.

You can create your own wordpress site as mentioned above, however if you have a domain name in mind, you'll need some hosting set up (cheap these days). I've set up several word press sites for friends and my company. Doesn't take more than an hour or two, unless you want some customizations.
