The menus were printed on a board and I believe this one is from around 1976, lots of great memories.

Was it a Feed Store before a restaurant. Vaguely I recall buying supplies there for quail we raised.

I remember drinking Mai tais there out of Mason jars on the night my daughter was born in 1975. What a happy night!

Drinking Harvey Wallbangers out of mason jars for three or four hours and then driving home really drunk! Good ol' days!

Seems to me that it WAS a feed store previously. If not, it was next door to an earlier animal feed supply store.

Now this is one I'd forgotten. Probably because of the cocktails. I DO remember the Mason Jars. And, yes, it had been a Feed Store in an earlier life. Odd thing is I don't remember actually ever eating there.

Wasn't it Roesers Feed & Mill. I worked at "The Feed Store" when I was in high school bussing dishes with a bunch of college girls in hot pants. There were some wild things going on in some of the booths... ah the memories. There was some great music for a while, but eventually disco killed it off.

Yes , it was Roeser's Milling - a real feed store. We would back the old truck up to the loading dock and fill up with hay for the horses, and dog food. Anyone remember the Pony ride place right down at the corner of Cabrillo?

I used to back my truck up to the loading dock for cat food, dog food, and alfalfa and grain for the horses. Those days are long gone. When it turned into a club/bar we nick named it the "meat store" guess why....

Yes, Roeser's! It's all coming back now!! I remember going there to hear a friend, Connie Warren, play guitar and sing there -- probably 1976 or 77.

I went there regularly for lunch. What I remember are the salads, because they used seasoned rice vinegar to sweeten the dressing just a tad.

My 1st memories of Roesers Feed was avout 1947, Grandma would get the chicken feed delivered then use the colorful cloth sacks for dish towels. Starting in 1953, they delivered my horse's hay and grain. When Mr. Roeser died his son, Rod, let the place go for the resturant and moved the business out back into their old storage barn.

I knew the bartender who was a great guy. He was transferred from Hobie Bakers. We enjoyed eating there as well. I'm glad someone mentioned the restaurant name.

A dear friend of mine met her husband there-they just celebrated their 35th anniversary!!! ...I have excellent memories from there as well!!!

715 here. It was the Battistone's (Sam) and a group called "Santa Barbara Restaurant Group" I believe opened it. One of the partners, Dick Prato bought it in the later years. Some bartenders I remember were Billy Gunn (blond and thin) and Mike (beard and stocky). They were a great pair. Some may remember Dave Gee who was a waiter and budding comedian, who used to do hilarious sets when the bands took a break.

My first and only waitressing job was at The Feedstore, back in 1974. I had just turned 21. The lunch shift was all waitresses, and the dinner shift was all male waiters. I still have friends that I made while working there. One thing I remember best was the women with their group business lunches---oh how we dreaded them! They would leave their meager tips under their plates! Cheapskates. I loved the guy I called "Mr. Drambuie," who would leave me a $5 tip on a $3.50 bill. (We were paid $2.25 per hour, plus tips.) The Feedstore was the first place to serve toasted sunflower seeds on salads. There were canning jars at each table, the hinged lid kind, with tiny baby corn on the cob, marinated. We used to make the desserts: The Orgasm, and The Orgy. I wish I could remember the recipes. Working with 10 or 11 other women at time (one shift) and two busboys was a real life lesson. We had live music, too. Such fun.

I worked there as a waiter and had soooo much fun! Dick Prato was the owner, Chuck Beaver the manager, comedian Ed Gee started there. Rick Bevalaqua was my busboy, fellow waiters Billy Wood, Mark Hoffman and Joe Lopez just to name a few. Oh my gosh, the stories I could tell.... And the after hours parties when we'd lock the doors, ohmygosh! I had a 1950 Buick I painted black and grey, we had a lot of fun in those days.
