An Edhat reader went to the Sinbad show on Saturday at the Granada, and had a
great time. Sinbad did about 75 minutes of his clean comedy show and opened and
closed by playing some old and new music with a funk band complete with horn
section and 4 backup singers.
His name hasn't been in the news for a while but the audience couldn't see any
apparent rust in his act. He was willing to take questions from the audience and
make jokes about them, and had a good time after finding out that a couple in
the front row were a man and his ex-nanny. Samples of his humor include:
"I've got some ideas for movies but everyone I talk to in Hollywood is a kid
that tells me- I used to watch you with my Grandma and you were really funny!"
While introducing his daughter as each singer got to highlight their skills-
"That one's mine, I'm claiming her, and I'm still making payments!"
If he ever does another show, he is highly recommended.
