We took a boat trip from Ucluelet, BC up through the Broken Group archipelago and the Barkley Sound. We
were thrilled to see these Humpback whales, a mother and calf, feeding in the Sound. Really wanted to see
the resident Orcas, but the elusive creatures have remained elusive to me, sigh. This is a stunningly
beautiful part of the world, not too far from us and I hope to be back to British Columbia soon and finally
realize my quest to see the Orcas.
