Location: Hwy. 101 Closure of No. 3 (Slow) Lane in Santa Barbara
near Las Positas Road
Description of Incident:
The southbound No. 3 (slow) lane of Hwy. 101 is closed between Las Positas
Road and La Cumbre Road due to a truck which struck an Overcrossing.
The No. 1 (fast) and No. 2 (middle) lanes remain open.
There is no estimated time when this lane will re-open, expect delays

Hope it is cleared out by the time rush hour starts or it is going to be a messier commute then normal.

Fear not 106P, only lane #3 is closed and the clean-up crew is on scene to remove the concrete that got whacked down.

The lane was open again at 2:30 when I drove past. It's odd, they left up the signs saying a lane is closed, construction ahead, so traffic is actually worse (worse being everyone driving 50-60 in the right & middle lanes, but no real traffic - just slow/cautious people) before you hit that area, but clears up once people realize the lane is open again.

And what about the structural integrity of the bridge that was hit? I drove over that bridge recently and thought it looked to be in need of replacement.
