Coeur D'Alene Resort is very impressive. Lakeview rooms are a bit small but on multiple levels so the views are always outstanding. MCC.... SFO is to San Francisco what SBA is to Santa Barbara.

Nice boats !! A long time ago when my dad was in high school taking wood shop, he finished all there progects in 3 days so the teacher said he could spend the rest of the year making what ever he wanted. He made a boat just like the one in your 2nd & 3rd picture. That was in the early 40's and my uncle in Canada still uses that boat for watersking today. Now my dad mainly restores old cars, from making wooden spoke rims, to making fenders and anything it may need, he's one man that can really do it all. Oh yeah he also got his FAA welding lic. and made a Baking Duce airplane.. Sorry about getting carried away...

SFO is San Francisco International Airport, although I don't see it in that particular photograph. Guessing you don't get out much.

The FAA does not issue a separate Welding Certificate. It is part of the Airframe Certificate.

It was some class he had to go through for welding airplanes and a lot of welding test , to get a lic. to work on aircraft. I thought it was through the FAA . Maybe EAA ? I know they would be out every couple weeks to inspect , and we would talk about who's building what were. My dads friend was building a Starduster 2 at the time.

Actually, you can see both the Bay and the Golden Gate bridges in the picture, the golden gate is partly obscured by fog. THANKS for the images! Those boats are beauties.

I know those boats. I would be ecstatic to see more of CDA while you're there. It is a beautiful time of year to be up there.
