Highway 217 Closure
updated: Aug 08, 2012, 1:48 PM

Source: City of Goleta

On Friday, August 10, Highway 217 between Hollister Avenue and UCSB will be completely closed from 3-6 a.m. to allow for Southern California Edison to remove electrical lines as part of the San Jose Creek Project. Detours and traffic controls will be in place during this three-hour span.

The San Jose Creek Project is the City's largest Capital Improvement Project to date and will increase the capacity of the flood control channel. The project also includes a fish passage component. The project is moving ahead on schedule and is expected to be completed in 2013.

For more information, visit the City's San Jose Creek Project website at www.SanJoseCreekProject.com.
