... Wind Advisory in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 3 am PDT Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 3 am PDT Wednesday.

* Winds... north 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph this evening. Winds strongest below passes and canyons of the Santa Ynez range... including Gaviota and San Marcos passes.

* Impacts... winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Highways 101... 154... and 192 will be susceptible to gusty winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph or greater are expected.
