Scanner Reports 8-6-12
updated: Aug 06, 2012, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Well, well, well; the Day After. I used to love Fiesta and all the otter celebrations here in Santa Barbara, but now that I'm older and hurt much of the time I just like to vegetate, meditate, It's not so much being older because compared to some people on Edhat, I'm an infant. I hurt like HELL! The older I get the worse it hurts sometimes I feel like I can barely lift my legs. I take a bike ride downtown one day and it takes a week to recover.

On Saturday evening a young gal showed up on the property. She was looking for the Youth Hostel which I now know is at 111 North Milpas not 211 South Milpas. I think she thought she walked into "Motel Hell" with me and Belinda here telling her she needed to get a cab outta the neighborhood because it's SNOT as safe as say Hope Ranch. Before I could enlist another neighbors help, the gal had fled. She was totally nowhere to be found I looked all over. I was kinda glad she split cause the only room I could find for her was 250.00 for the night. I was going to find a corner of the yard and let her crash there. I did not know what else to do. Somewhere these tourists are getting the wrong information. This is the second young gal that has showed up here. This information needs to be corrected where ever it may be.

So on Saturday Afternoon there was a report of a guy with a gun in Santa Maria outside of a vehicle on the passenger side. Apparently he pointed the gun toward a field and fired it. The reporting party's son thought the gun was a pellet gun, the reporting party thought it was real. Will a gun is a gun don't matter if it's fake, real, or pellet, it's a gun. Police were responding and I totally thought it was going to be the 8th Officer Involved Shooting but SNOT this time.

I heard an Officer say "One at gunpoint, the other in the car." A few moments later all was well Code 4 and no one got shot. It would seem to me that if our North County Police were really trigger happy they would have shot this YaHoo like the rest. Maybe the difference here is that this guy cooperated with police and put his gun down. Do not point guns at the police and you won't get shot. Another thing that is not safe to do; get into an argument with a Chicago Cub fan when you're a White Sox fan or Vice Versa it got kinda ugly when the guy said I was a High School Dropout then of course I became a little abusive. The whole time I was wondering how in the HELL did the guy know I dropped outta High School? I got my GED, Jerk.
