Fiesta Party Crasher

A young man driving a minivan literally "crashed" a Fiesta party in progress
when he veered off the road and careened into the backyard of a Veronica Springs
home. Luckily none of the partygoers were injured. As first reported by Roger
the Scanner Guy, at about 9:30 on Saturday night, a vehicle rammed into a fence
in the 1200 block of Veronica Springs Road. The driver apparently lost control
of his minivan at the intersection of Veronica Springs and Las Positas Roads.
The van careened off the road, hitting a guard rail, bending it back, then
continued on through about 50 feet of brush and trees. Ultimately the van and
its driver crashed into a backyard fence and an adjacent storage shed, coming to
rest at the site of a Fiesta party. Some of the revelers were engaged in a
serious game of beer pong, while two young woman looked on. The two women, who
heard and saw the minivan make its arrival took quick action, and to avoid
injury were forced to jump into the pool. That put a real damper on the party...
We are unsure of the condition of driver of the minivan, but the vehicle itself
appears to be a total loss. We hope the young driver is ok.
