August 5, 2012 - Viva!

It's that time of year for Santa Barbara, and if there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, It's just a confetti egg for Fiesta. Ed hopes that you all have been enjoying yourselves. Today we will announce the number of horses in the horse parade, the winner of Edhat's annual contest, and as one dance group leaves the stage, we will announce a new contest for y'all to play.

So if you didn't win a t-shirt this week, you have another chance. There's still time to change the road you're on. And it makes Ed wonder, will the fun ever end?

We don't think so. And to prove it, check this out! The Dog of the Week is Maddie, the newest pip on the block; The Cat of the Week is Mittens, of YouTube fame. This week, our own dedicated staffer, Lauren Bray begins a journey through paradise. Edda gives more of her sage advice, and Nicole shares a story of love and salvation. The Urban Hikers were waylaid by Fiesta festivities and took the week off, and we have a winner in the Fiesta Parade Horse Count!

---- Edhat Stuff ----------------------------------

Play the Contest! What is the average price in Santa Barbara for a gallon of milk?

COUNT: The 2012 Fiesta Parade horse counting numbers are in. Are you a winner?

Lauren: Lauren is ready to cover your local events and happenings, but right now she's probably having a margarita.

ASK EDDA: Dear Edda, I want to know whether or not I have a big nose? What is the proper way to measure a nose, by the distance it pops out of the face, or how far it is from the brows to the nostrils?

GARDEN OF ED: Billy Goodnick is tired of seeing plants and objects block our city sidewalks. Here are his tips for cleaning it all up.

URBAN HIKE: The Urban Hikers check out the decorated clock tower at the courthouse.

Nicole: Nicole is jumping off the couch and back in the saddle and describing the Cat who loves her.

DOG OF THE WEEK: Meet Maddie, the newest pup on the block.

CAT OF THE WEEK: Meet Mittens, yes the same Mittens of YouTube fame.
