Don't wait for the Urban Hikers, be the Urban Hikers. Grab your camera, a stenographer's pad, a pencil and a fedora hat with a ticket marked EdPress in it's band and go find out. Take good pictures, ask relevant questions and report back here quick. Oh, and please proof read your copy before submitting. That should be worth a UHjr badge for sure.

It was a neighbor up the street from us who drove his new black camaro into a tree in front of the water company at the corner of puente and hollister. Car is covered now in the driveway. If the kid who crashed today drives anything like his mother, it was only a matter of time until this happened. The tree is still sideways, front of the car is crunched for sure. Doesn't look "bad" to me, he was able to drive the vehicle home. The car accident described above sounds much worse than what I'm sure happened, sorry to kill the shock value. -Urban Biker

I drove past while the emergency vehicles were at the scene. It looked like ten emergency vehicles. It must have been a slow day for problems to send that much equipment to a small accident.

I drove through while emergency vehicles were there. There are skid marks through the intersection at Hollister leading all the way to the poor young jacaranda that got taken out. Easily could have been a pedestrian or bike rider instead. Thankfully it wasn't.
