updated: Aug 02, 2012, 1:46 PM

The following is a Vandenberg AFB news advisory issued by 30th Space Wing Public Affairs.

ATLAS V LAUNCH DELAY EXTENDED

VANDENBERG Air Force Base, Calif. - The launch of an Atlas V rocket carrying a National Reconnaissance Office payload has been rescheduled for Saturday at 12:13 a.m. from Space Launch Complex-3 here to provide additional time for resolution of a range instrumentation issue that developed during the initial launch attempt Aug 2.

There are no issues with the Atlas V vehicle or the NROL-36 space vehicle.

The weather forecast predicts a 90 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch.

The overnight launch of an Atlas V rocket out of Vandenberg Air Force Base has been delayed. (08/03/12)
