Does anyone know if the Harry's to Harbor Fiesta race is happening this year? I've always wanted to attend
but could never do it, now that I can it's so hard to find information on it. Anyone know anything?

Harrys to Harbor is an unofficial race that takes place each year. People dress up in crazy and fun costumes and meet at Harry's restaurant. They start with a drink there and have a variety of stops and drinks along the way as they run to the SB Harbor. Traditionally they're supposed to jump off the pier at the end but I think the cops caught wind and started giving citations. For some reason it's real secretive so not many people know exactly what time and when or where the stops will be. It's a blast! Youtube videos of past events.

Sounded like a Hasher event, "the drinking club with a running problem" , but I checked the local chapter (Santa Bastard Hash House Harriers) but it is not listed.

Having been in many bars on many occasions just AFTER these groups leave, I can report that each and EVERY time the bartender exclaims "Thank god they are gone".

I've only done one "Hasher" event in my life. That was in Bali and I will never forget it. I'm not a runner so was just told to "follow Uncle Ho" -- an elderly Chinese guy who "always comes in first". His secret -- he does shortcuts through incredible rice paddies, villages, etc. Of course I still had to chug a beer and hold onto my shorts to avoid having them pulled down at the end of the race. We returned to the Hyatt covered in mud with the gamilan band playing their version of "California Here I Come". Just one of life's great memories.

104, Just drink and run/walk. Pretty darn shocking the first time you see it when you're just sitting in your neighborhood bar (within walking distance of home) avoiding crowds... lol

So is it happening or what? WHEN and WHERE? I want to join in. The Fiesta Cruiser Run last year was so much fun that I have vowed to take a more active part in these types of activities... thanks for posting this.

Alright everyone, I've got the scoop. The plan is to meet at Harry's at 1:30 on Saturday. Around 3'ish the movement will begin. Theme: 80's Olympic gear. Dress crazy and bring water guns!
