Ellwood Area Boom

I live in the Ellwood area of Goleta and at about 11:50am today (7/31/12) there was an explosion of some sort, possibly a sonic boom that rocked the house. It sounded like an anvil slammed into the roof. I walked outside and the neighbors were all walking out of their houses and they said they experienced the same thing. Any info on this?!
