My Cox internet and phone went down at about 2:40pm in Noleta. Is anyone else out?

Nope, not from this part of Noleta. When it goes down, call them (if there is another phone) and ask if it is just you. If it is just you, which can happen, they should help you get back up. They charge high monthly fees - they should provide support.

Been very disastisfied with my girlfriend's service lately. Streaming Netflix has become a complete joke, as we have to stop and wait for more of the video to buffer. Its been like this for weeks, so she called Cox the other day to ask why this all of a sudden seems to be a normal thing. They said thats normal, and that the internet wasn't really designed for streaming video. Considering she pays about $100 a month for basic cable and internet, I'd expect a better answer than that. They have a monopoly here and they know it.

It went down and we had no phone/TV/internet for less than an hour. Whoop. I read a book.

Somtimes unplugging the modem for 5 minutes fixes the problem. It has worked for me. Good Luck!

We're on Eastside, it's 5 p.m. on Monday. Been trying to watch the Olympics on Cox all day, just getting a frozen screen and the little circle goes around and around and around. Evidently they're overwhelmed.

Between the Olympics and Apple's release of Mountain Lion (4+ Gb download), the system is loaded up. Too bad SB was too limp to submit a proposal for Google's free high speed internet pilot.
