Minor injuries resulted from busy weekend traffic

Today at 12:30 E1, E2, Truck 1, and the duty Battalion Chief responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover accident at Highway 101 north bound and Castillo Street on ramp. Upon arrival firefighters found all occupants out of the vehicle safely with minor injuries. Two small children were safely and correctly fastened in their car seats during the accident. Firefighters provided medical attention to all four occupants of the vehicle. E1 personnel secured the vehicle, and stood by for a local tow company.

The Santa Barbara City Fire Department would like to remind parents to take the time and secure their child in their car seat correctly. Buckling up the right way on every ride is the single most important thing a family can do to stay safe in the car.
