Goleta Beach Triathlon

The goleta beach triathlon is happening this morning. I watched about 1/2 million dollars (500+ athletes * $1,000 bike) worth of bicycles whiz by me on north san marcos and cathedral oaks. At this point, they had all finished the swim and were about 15 minutes into the ride. (500+ athletes * $1,000 bike)

Highlights at this point for me was how much faster those people on bikes with aero wheels/bars/frames and helmets than others. Plus the guy who was riding with a broken spoke flapping against his bike.
