Home Invasion Robbery

On Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:35pm, deputies responded to the 2800 block of Via Real, Carpinteria on a report of a home invasion robbery that had just occurred. It was reported that a lone suspect had left the residence after confronting the residents inside their home and stealing property.

While some deputies responded to the home, other deputies and officers from the California Highway Patrol searched the surrounding streets. Two Sheriff K9 units and a helicopter from the County Air Support Unit also assisted with the search. Investigators from the Sheriff's Forensics Bureau assisted at the crime scene. The suspect, a white male in dark clothes, 5-9 to 5-10, 150 to 160 lbs, was not located.
