A very skillful aviator I saw at SBA is quick enough to catch bugs in mid-flight. If it had even one bright red feather, maybe more people would notice. It was darting over San Jose Creek just outside the airport fence, and any pilot would be delighted to do comparable stunts. Anyone know what kind of bird this is? I've put a different and larger view on my Photo Page.
