I'm currently in residence, albeit temporarily, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

It's been a dream trip for me, and certainly more so, for a few local athletes from the Santa Barbara Swim Club.

These young swimmers are getting a rare opportunity to train at altitude just like all the "real" Olympic athletes. They are experiencing what life is like for Olympians and future Olympians, mingling with, and seeing these athletes before they head to London.

Most are already gone, but just this morning I had breakfast (one table over!) from an Olympic Gymnastics team member, John Orozco....very cool.
