Still in Love
updated: Jul 14, 2012, 3:18 PM

By Edhat Subscriber

Dear Edda,

I have been supporting my boyfriend for the last three years while he was finishing grad school. At first he said that we would get married when he graduated. Then he promised to support me through grad school after he finished. He is in his last year now, and has decided that he wants to spend a year traveling before he settles down. He knows I can't go with him because I have to work. We owe some money because of his school loans. I am a little upset, because it seems to me that he is being insensitive. He says I am being selfish. I know how this sounds, but we really love each other. What should I do?

Signed, Still in Love

***

Dear Still,

Dump him. Really.

Edda
