Scanner Reports 7-9-12
updated: Jul 09, 2012, 7:05 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Monday-Monday, Again, Again. I just about went over the Edge Saturday night I couldn't sleep for nothing between the congestion, obsessions of the Mime and the Scanner. I usually leave the Scanner on at night but I just couldn't take it Saturday night into Sunday morning. The medical calls were one after the other on AMR, in between the Fire and Police calls. It seemed pretty quiet during the day. That's how it usually is but not Saturday night it was just too much for my frail mind.

A friend of mine who knows who I am told a friend of his that he knows Roger Dodger, and he's nuts. I don't know why it bothered me but it did. I've been nuts all my life I should be used to it by now. I guess when other people say it and you know they are at least 10 times crazier than you, it bothers you. I usually don't tell otter people about fiends that I stink are crazy. "Hi Fred!" You know who you are, and now so does everyone else.

On Sunday morning I went to my favorite water machine at Tri County Produce. Every couple of days I fill up my old 5 gallon container full of good cheap bottled water. I did SNOT think I would be able to do it this time because on FRYday evening some loser attempted to break into the machines. Someone got his license plate number and called 911. The police went to his home on the East Side, he wasn't there what a stupid thing to be on the run for. On top of that he didn't even break into the machine right.

Stereotype not me I listen to the scanner all the time. The otter day I was riding my bicycle home from Catholic Charities this fella was staring at me and my Schwinn Tricycle he looked like the standard description of your regular run of the mill Santa Barbara Gang Type. I'm not going to tell you what your regular run of the mill Santa Barbara Gang Type looks like I will leave it to your imagination. I got nervous because I'm kinda vulnerable now, not as strong as I once was and I know the look. The look the guy was giving me was he wanted my bike. I started pedaling harder and harder until I was really hauling ars. If you know how big I am you know that to be true. I thought I was going to die by the time I got home I must have lost 20 pounds. A victim of my own paranoia.
