Looking for a podiatrist referral for help with ongoing foot problems (that don't require surgery). Anyone have successful relationship with local podiatrist they can tell me about?

My husband has plantar fascilitis. He used Joseph Garafalo with no results, even after surgery. He is now seeing Steven Pearson and doing physical therapy. Good luck. Foot problems are difficult to resolve.

Dr. Rassmussen (spelling?) at Samsun. Good guy, even if he is impossible to schedule an appt with quickly, or to see you on time!

Rasmussen's wait-and-see approach necessitated part of my foot being amputated. I probably could have sued and won, but I don't do things like that. Sal Garofalo, Joseph Garofalo's son, is the best!

Please DO NOT go to Lisa Nelms. Charged me for orthotics even after several phone calls I made made for an appointment. Never called me. I'll see in her small claims court. Dr. Morris is good. Pretty mellow but gets the job done. Good luck. I know how debilitating foot pain can be.

Lisa Nelms? Awful podiatrist in my opinion. . She ruined my big toe and was very cavalier about it. I reported her to Angie's List and when they contacted her she said she had never heard of me. I went to see Dr. Pearson ( an M.D.) and he sent me over to see Lisa Nelms. Shame on him too. I should have sued her but I actually felt sorry for her.

After a terrible experience with Lisa Nelms ( she pulled off my big toe nail without properly putting the toe to sleep.) I started going to Gregory Aposperis on 14 East Arrellaga Street. 805 965 1515. He is very gentle and does a good job for me. Talented and has a good patient side manner.

Go to foot PT Jean deBettignies. She works magic. She gave my husband exercises for plantar fasciitis and they were the cure. The podiatrist had said he would need orthotics, should not wear sandals ever again, and "stay off those mountain trails." Now he can do everything he used to do in the past.

As somebody in the medical profession who had a foot issue I can tell you Sal Garofalo is fabulous! The staff & clinicians at the wound care center @ GVCH are the BEST!
