Before I begin searching for health insurance for my 3 children ( I am on
medicare), I thought I would ask the savvy Edhat community for their best
advice. Is there a wide range of premiums depending on the particular
insurance agent or should I expect about the same results no matter who
the agent is? Thank you for any helpful insight you can share.

Contact Brown & Brown 690-2601. They are a long established and well respected agency and are full service. They also have departments that can insure your home, cars, boat, and business too. A good agent will have lots of options for you and will help you to find insurance that you can afford. Brown & Brown has all that going for them! :)

I also agree that Stevens & Associates is the BEST place to go when you have Medical Insurance needs. They specialize in Health Insurance and Ray, the owner, knows everything there is to know about Medicare Retiree benefits. The girls in the office are always super helpful and have actually saved us lots of money on copays that we were billed for but because of thier tenacity, ended up not having to pay because diagnostic codes were incorrectly billed. Over all, they have saved my family a ton of $... 683-3636

Re: children they are 20, 17 and 15. I believe they can be on parent's policy up to age 26. But not on medicare policy.

California "Healthy Families Program" for the 17 & 15 year old. If the 20 year old is in college, try there first. UCSB students can enroll in "UC SHIP" program for about $1300 year.
