I'm looking for someone who can help me purchase
the correct clip in hair extensions, cut them and dye them as
necessary and show me how to correctly place them.
I suffer from major hair loss. Thank you.

I have no answer to your question, but you might want to talk with Rosa, the owner of Hair Select on the Mesa. She is very knowledgeable and caring.

I have purchased hair pieces from award-winning local hair stylist Eliane Alexandre. She is a very kind, knowledgable woman, too. Visit: http://www.elianealexandre.com/inquire

A few weeks back there was an article posted on Edhat about a student at UCSB who won a prestigious award for her report on grooming and hair. That article might provide some links or names of people who can help you out.

I second Eliane Alexandre, an expert you will be happy with. You may get some additional suggestions from them that will also enhance your looks. My beautiful sister-in-law who was once a model started wearing a small hairpiece when her hair started thinning on top. If she didn't tell, you would never know. It's important that you go to an expert that will make you feel beautiful and comfortable with your choice. Good luck and good for you for seeking a solution to the problem rather than feeling self-conscious and unhappy with your hair:-)
