Hoping for a recommendation for someone to replace the awnings on my home. Left 2
messages for Steve Lastra (who used to be the awnings guy at Haywards) with no
response, so I'm looking for another referral. Any suggestions?

I use Alan from Custom Canvas, (805) 688-8611 he has done several commercial buildings for me and always has great prices and a quality product. Alan works in Solvang and Buellton as well as the greater Santa Barbara area.

A few years ago my wife and I were going to put up an awning on our patio. The estimates were quite high and a friend of ours suggested we "do it yourself". At our friends suggestion we went to OSH and bought a kit, some wire, hardware, & the covering (they come in a few colors) and set it up in half a day. Total cost less than $100 for a fairly large patio. Just in case you are considering options.......
