International Space Station
updated: Jun 27, 2012, 7:10 AM

By Chuck Cagara

I would normally try to photograph an object such as the International Space Station by attaching a camera to my 8 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.

However, the telescope is currently at another location so I tried tonight by simply using a 500mm telephoto lens and panning the camera from a tripod.

While not perfect, this image still provides a sense of the station's shape with the solar array panels discernible jutting out from the top and bottom.
