Bobcat on the Bikepath

Myself and a photographer spotted a bobcat on the bike path near More Mesa.

I was running on the bike path toward Goleta beach and nearing Patterson and as I turned left on to Patterson I almost stepped on a bobcat no more than 5 feet from the path. I later talked to a photographer taking pictures of birds in More Mesa who had also seen the bobcat. in the creek

A small warning should be put out to parents with small children to watch them. These animals are afraid unless cornered. Adults will scare them away, but little children are their size.

We should advise parents to keep an careful eye on their kids on the bike path and in More Mesa.
