Police on Mesa

last night around 1AM there was a LOT of police activity on my street/hood up here on the Mesa (San Nicolas)...sirens, several patrol units speeding about, and then slow methodical search with spotlights...any idea what it was?

We heard the sirens also, right around 1 AM, at least 2 cars. Just before that, my husband heard what sounded like skate boards in the park, and a lot of shouting. That's all I know...
