Painting Contractor

I'm looking for a local painting contractor to completely repaint the exterior of our home. We want someone experienced, insured, who has been in business in SB for years and has great references. Know of anyone?

Ask about his employees if you go with Bob Coleman. I live in a condo complex he and his crews have painted. I've had to have his/their work redone -- on more than one occasion.

Danis Painting 331-4467 I've used this contractor for years, for residential. They did 5 Points shopping center also.

I called four painters for bids. $3600, $2500, $2200 and $1570. I went with the lower one because he said all the same things the other folks said they would do. He did a great job, was very neat, we were pleased the house looks great. THE PAINTER, FRANCISCO DE LAS HERAS 805-448-2909

I second John Pickerill. He really cares about doing a good job, and his bid was lower than others. He did our outside as well as some inside work. He is great.

I don't think that Francsco De Las Heras is a licensed California painting contractor ? I could not find his name in the the registrar. That is why he was so cheap. Workmans Compensation insurance, and liability insurance is expensive. Not to mention all the other fees that a licensed contractor must pay. The originator of this post mentioned that they wanted the names of licensed contractors. Please only mentioned legitimate licensed painting contractors.

We've used Russell Long (252-7582) to paint the exterior of our house. He did a great job. Dependable, licensed, insured and a nice guy!

Another way to get good references is to ask related businesses. Ask some good general contractors who they use. Ask some paint stores who they'd recommend.

I.M.O. painting done through Russell Long should be very closely monitored, regardless of how nice he may be. Of course, that is probably good policy no matter who you select!

Purling Painting & Finishing 689-1857 They have been in the business locally for over 25 years. Licensed and insured too. Ask the paint stores like Sherwin Williams, they know who the good ones are.

Second vote for Whitecaps Painting. Shane and his guys did a great job on our house. We had to wait a couple weeks to be fit into their schedule but it was worth it. We were impressed with their website and now their workmanship.
