Retired English Teacher Available for Tutoring 2nd-9th Grades, various

I am available for tutoring in reading, writing, grammar—all ELA—as well as in math and social studies, for 2nd through 9th grades. At this time of year, you might notice that some students in various grades might benefit from tutoring. Gaining confidence in the classroom directly impacts classroom participation and skill.

I retired in June, 2011, after 34 years of teaching, which included 16 years of junior high (grades 7-9), 15 year of elementary, and 3 years of college. The last 12 years were in the Hope School District and the Carpinteria Unified School District. I have also worked in two Peabody Charter School classrooms (grades 2nd and 5th) for this last school year.

My fee is $60/hour. References available upon request.
