Figueroa Mountain Wildflowers
updated: May 05, 2012, 9:28 PM

By Robert Bernstein

It is quite late for wildflowers on Figueroa Mountain, but I had heard some are still happening. So we went to check it out today.

The usual best spot, just past the Ranger Station on Figueroa Mountain Road was covered in grass with few flowers. But a short distance beyond was a beautiful rock garden of pine trees, poppies and lupines. Not as lush as in the past, but we were glad to have seen it.

Here are my photos!

By the way, here are my photos from three years ago for comparison!
