Alice Kladnik died at the venerable age of 105, having lived a long life dedicated to serving her community.
Acts of unselfish service transform the future, as winter births the spring; but like the seasons, all things must pass... RIP Alice, Santa Barbara is a better place for your having been here.

In the news: A man is in the hospital with critical injuries after being struck Thursday evening by a semi-truck on the southbound 101, north of Santa Maria.
