Border Surfing

Many drivers call it San Diego's "northern border" because often traffic is stopped so that
cars and drivers
can be checked, just like at Tijuana. It creates rolling traffic jams when they close and then reopen the
inspections. Are we the only ones who used to roll up our car windows driving past the San Onofre nuke
plant? The domes are cool looking though. I enjoy watching the surfers nearby, in the area called Trestles where the railroad trestle
crosses the river. The surfer on the green board at left got a good ride, but there were lots of surfers
waiting much further out.
